Hey Anglers,
The spooky season continues, and we’ve got something you’ve been waiting for! Once Upon a Halloween and Curse of the Frankenfish Events are finally back! If you missed out on these fan-favorite Halloween adventures before, now’s your chance to jump in, take on their challenges, and enjoy all the frightful fun!
Both events have already started and will be available until November 2, 2026, at 10:00 UTC.
Let’s take a look at what’s waiting for you!
During Halloween, the line between our world and the supernatural grows thinner, allowing all sorts of spooky creatures to slip through. Ghosts, mysterious lights, and other creepy visitors have already started appearing across Fishing Planet, and rumor has it they’re all coming through the Ghostly Gates!
To send these unwelcome guests back where they belong, you’ll need to track down special items that serve as seals for the gates. So, Brave Angler, it’s up to you to find them and put an end to all this terrifying chaos!
Once you’ve collected all the items, you’ll need to destroy them using the ancient druid fire to finally seal the gates and keep those creepy creatures out of our world for good!
With all the seals destroyed and the Ghostly Gates finally closed, it seems like the chaos is over. But there’s one little problem, Brave Angler! A few particularly cunning and terrifying monsters managed to sneak through the gates before they closed and have since scattered across the waterways of Fishing Planet.
And since they’re not planning to leave on their own, there’s only one thing left to do: grab your monster-hunting gear and catch them all!
You’ll need more than ordinary bait to catch these terrifying creatures! Get your hands on these special Halloween baits and give those monsters something they can’t resist!
And don’t forget about the special Halloween lures that can help you reel in those monsters!
Besides special baits and lures, you can also boost your chances of catching monster fish with supernatural groundbaits!
Three mysterious cats have made themselves at home at Lone Star Lake, and they know a thing or two about attracting monster fish. Of course, cats being cats, they’ll want something in return for their help. Complete their little requests, and each one will reward you with a special type of groundbait.
To feel more confident taking on the Halloween missions, the Hellfish Fighter Pack is worth checking out, especially now that it’s available at 25% OFF*.
It’s packed with everything you need to take on the spooky Once Upon a Halloween challenges, including three rod-and-reel setups, a rod stand, special groundbaits, mission baits and lures, and the Hell’s Bell. You’ll also get Credits, Baitcoins, 60 Storage Slots, 3 Tackle Setup Slots, and 3 Recipe Slots to keep your fishing gear and supplies organized.
On top of that, the Hellfish Fighter Pack also includes access to all 10 key locations, the required licenses, and 7 days of Premium Account, so you can focus on completing your Halloween missions!
*The HellFish Fighter Pack is now 25% off on Steam, the Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android! Nintendo Switch players can save 10% in Europe and 25% in all other regions. Unfortunately, the sale is not available on PlayStation or Xbox due to platform-specific restrictions.
As a little thank-you for your courage and hard work, you’ll get your hands on some special Halloween goodies, including the players’ all-time favorite Jack-o’-Lantern Hat, the FishskullCast™ 220 Casting Rod, the FishSpine 7500 Casting Reel, and the Hell’s Bell!
A pretty nice collection of Halloween treasures to show off after all your adventures!
And there’s another Halloween story waiting for you in Curse of the Frankenfish!
This time, you’ll be dealing with a vicious monster that came to life after a prank went terribly wrong many years ago. The creature has an appetite for just about anything living, including humans, so you can imagine the trouble it’s been causing!
To catch the Frankenfish, you’ll first need to lure it out with a special potion. The recipe is hidden in an old witch’s cookbook, and gathering all the ingredients will be an adventure of its own. Get ready to explore, collect everything you need, and brew the potion to bring this terrifying creature out of hiding!
Along with the ingredients for your potion, you’ll also need a few more monster fish. Make sure to catch them all before taking on the Frankenfish!
Catching Halloween monsters can be tricky, so these special baits might come in handy. They might not all look appetizing to you, but the monsters will surely appreciate them!
You can also lure these monsters in with some rather bizarre Halloween lures.
And to round out your Halloween fishing setup, we’ve got some special terminal tackle for the occasion.
To help you prepare for the Curse of the Frankenfish missions, we’ve also got the Spooky Fishing Pack, now available at 25% OFF*. The pack comes with a selection of special gear to help you take on Halloween monsters, including limited-edition spinning, telescopic, and match rods, three powerful reels, Glow Bobbers for night fishing, strong fluorocarbon lines, and special Halloween baits. You’ll also get some extra goodies like the exclusive Coffin Case and Iron Maiden Fish Stringer.
The pack also includes 7 days of Premium Account and access to all Halloween event locations, so you can focus on completing your missions and catching the Frankenfish!
*This sale is available on Steam, Epic Games iOS and Android and not available on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
Get your very own Monstrosity Kayak to take on your next fishing adventures in style.
There’s more to explore during Halloween beyond the main adventures. As you travel between waterways and complete your missions, you’ll also find some fun activities to get you into the Halloween spirit, with plenty of achievements to unlock as well.
Get three types of Halloween groundbait, catch the required number of Demon, Ghost, Phantom, and Skeleton Fish, use Halloween lures and baits to catch all kinds of fish, land fish with Pumpkin Candy, and hunt down the Black Vampire Gar, Albino Yeti Gar, and Green Ogre Gar. Complete these challenges to unlock Achievements and earn some great rewards!
Keep an eye out for mysterious scarecrows appearing near the water after dark! They’ve prepared a special Halloween challenge for you: The Terrifying Pumpkin Race! Hop into your kayak and knock down the floating pumpkins before time runs out. Watch your speed and choose your route carefully, as these races can be quite tricky!
Start your pumpkin racing adventure at Emerald Lake, then make your way to Falcon Lake, Saint-Croix Lake, and finally San Joaquin Delta.
And don’t forget to make your daily rounds around the waterways! During the Halloween festivities, you’ll find Jack-o’-Lanterns and Tombstones scattered across different locations, each hiding a little surprise for curious Anglers. Make sure to check them out every day and collect some fun Halloween goodies along the way. After all, who doesn’t love a few extra treats?
